Located between the Sahel and the tropical north to the south, Senegal is watered by four major rivers: Senegal, who gave his name, Saloum, Gambia and Casamance.

The eastern region of Senegal is certainly the richest country regarding to surprises and discoveries. True to the world, this is a marginal area and very few urbanized with amazing ethnological and natural wealth. This region, the only one with mountains in Senegal, is isolated due to weakened road network and its remoteness from the capital. Wildlife Niokolo-Koba, almost primitive peoples Bassari Country and the River Gambia are just some of the attractions of this magical place.
